Autism. Holiday...
Sad but true. He didn't make it to school today. He seemed highly anxious and uptight about the prospect of going. Our usual 'calm down' tricks didn't seem to work, so he spent the day at home with us and doing errands around Nowra.
It was lovely that our new friend Katrina stopped in. She's a speech pathologist and can't help herself when she gets near a child who is asking to be played with. She spent half an hour drawing pictures with him on the magnadoodle (and getting great participation) and then took him home with her for an hour. I'm trying to talk her into training to be an RDI consultant...
